Hi! Thank you, however you got here, for visiting my page! My name is Brittainy and I have been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time. The deciding factor was getting close to the end of my pregnancy (33 weeks currently) and realizing that as clueless as I have been during my pregnancy and will be after the arrival of my first child…others will be, too! And let’s face it, we all need encouragement and to know that no matter how tough things are (or are not) we can find solace in knowing someone else may be feeling the same thing.
I imagine as I start writing and get used to being a mom (actually-does that ever happen?) the content of my blog has the ability to change drastically but let me start by telling you what I want this blog to be about as of today!
When we found out we were pregnant I was in the 11th week of a 12 week half marathon training plan. With that being said-I am a runner. I want to and plan on getting back into running and working out as soon as I am medically cleared to! I know that many women struggle with getting back to pre-pregnancy weight often and I want to share my failures and successes with you all during my weight loss journey after pregnancy. I want to be as real as possible so expect pictures and even those beautiful numbers on the scale to be posted. With that being said-please take a look at my Pregnancy tab so you can be familiar with where I started and ended. I wish I would have started this blog a little sooner but I have done my best to recollect (thankfully I did take bump picture updates) the stages of my pregnancy and what I found easy and what I found difficult.
Most importantly, I want anyone reading this blog to know and understand-these words are all my opinions and my personal experiences. I know at times I will offend people but hope to motivate more than offend. I do not expect people to agree with me on certain topics because I promise you I will touch on controversial things (breastfeeding, co-sleeping, child raising). At the same time I will never say a certain way is right or wrong. Chances are I will be expressing what we have chosen to do for our family or what has worked for our family. Every single person is different. Therefore, every pregnancy will be different, every body will be different after pregnancy, and every baby will be completely unique.
That is all I have for the first blog! Please take a look at my About Me section. There you can learn a little about my life before pregnancy and meet my husband and puppies! I can’t wait to hear from you all!
